Northwind Balance-of-Plant

For the Northwind onshore wind farm, Electrix.solar delivered the complete balance-of-plant — everything except the turbines themselves.

Our scope

• Foundations and crane pads for 30 turbines
• 28 km of access roads
• Inter-array 33 kV cabling and the export line
• Substation and switchgear construction
• Commissioning support and ongoing maintenance

Delivery

Working in challenging coastal terrain, our crews completed the civil and electrical works on schedule, enabling the turbine supplier to begin erection without delay. Northwind now generates around 410 GWh per year, complementing our solar and storage portfolio in the region.
